Happy Birthday Stephen!Stephen was born on February 16, 2007 at 9:30pm and he's been a joy and delight ever since!
When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said, "cupcakes and sprinkles!" I think it's because he got the book, If you Give a Cat a Cupcake for Christmas. I will admit that I was rather glad that's all he wanted because it made things easy for me. If he had said, "I want a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake!" I would have been in over my head. :)
So I made a bunch of cupcakes and bought different kinds of sprinkles for him to put on them. He thought it was the coolest thing ever. He ate quite a few sprinkles but many still made it on the cupcakes.
His next favorite part was blowing the candle out. He kept asking for "more fire!" and has been asking for it ever since :) After eating his cupcake and opening gifts, we headed over to Aunt Ayla and Uncle Mike's house for a family shindig. Luckily for Stephen it included more candles and fire so he was pretty glad we went.
Uncle Cameron tried to teach Stephen how to shove an entire cupcake in his mouth. Although Stephen was pretty interested in Cameron's technique, he was just as happy with taking just a few bites at a time :)
