FRUIT

Since we started solids, Stephen as pretty much hated all fruit. That was fine with me so we stuck with veggies. He's been on solids now for 1.5 months so last week I thought I'd try the fruit again. Bananas? NOPE. Peaches? No. Apples? um . . . sorta. Pears? We have a winner! So like 2 oz of pears lasted him 4 days since he can't handle them for that long. It was like 3 bites for dessert and we're through!

Well last night I thought I'd try the bananas again and he not only ate them--he loved them. So, ya never can tell. So I guess we'll try peaches again and see what happens ;)

Wow, sounds like you have a healthy eater:) All our baby wants is dessert. I love your blog idea. It is fun to read what little Stephen is doing.

Julie!

Love the blog...and am so glad I was able to find you on google. You are definitely one famous mama!

I feel terrible that it takes a big favor for me to contact you. I still have Stephen's baby gift and...last year's christmas card...

But I do love the fact that I have a great excuse to contact you. I am applying to USC for graduate school! As you can imagine the competition is high, so I need the BEST recommendation letters from the BEST thinkers and writers, you came to my mind immediately. If you are too busy or are under other deadlines, I will completely understand....I just wanted to shoot for the best first.

To let you know... Brandon is bored out of his mind in the industry he's in and we're preparing to plant a blueberry orchard in March so he can live his dream of being a farmer and baseball coach. We feel this is the perfect window for me to submerge myself in the film world. We've purchased an R.V. so I can help with a film next summer, and still stay together as a family. We love the idea of riding this journey together-and having the kids see and experience so many things. I must add, the RV is so wonderful...it's like a miniature home...with a fireplace, two couches and large bookcases slowly becoming overfilled with the classics! We are currently living in it on my dad's property until we start building. I'm still running a book club here based on TJED and it has been steadily growing. We just finished Lonesome Gods...LOVED IT! Absolutely loved it.

I would love to talk to you in person. THe deadline for my application is Dec. 10 and your letter, if you feel you are up to it, can be submitted online. I have a small packet of information I've prepared ...which would help you in brainstorming. But really, the program I'm applying to wants leaders! The head professor's background is liberal arts studies and he is the reason why I want USC. It has been a long 4 months that I have been praying about this and I was reaffirmed last week to go ahead.

I know this message is not anonymous, which is okay! Anyone who reads this...make sure you read the classics...you never know how your life will change.

One more thing...I just read your story of Stephen's birth and tears welled up in my eyes. Emily too did have some complications...and I had bad dreams...oh he is soooo wonderful Julie! Do you remember when you came over to our house in Orem and I said, "Hurry up and get married so our kids will be the same age." Well, I can't wait for Sawyer and Stephen to meet. I LOVE the videos on Utube...I've got to get on there! It's so fun to see "Julie Earl" going through motherhood. You are going to be such a wonderful mother!
